The manufacturer, Boppy, is one of the best baby product manufacturers on the market. As you may have guessed, I am a huge fan of Boppy products. I recommend products that I believe to be of great quality for all babies, including my own. While all of my own children are now adults, I have a grandson who I watch on a full-time basis and either my daughter-in-law or I use all of the items I speak about. What is a baby carrier?
I am pretty sure that most of you already have a good idea of what a baby carrier is. However, what I want to do is tell you about a special one that is affordably priced and works very well.
In case you don’t know what a baby carrier is, it is a material that is used to create a place for you to carry your baby while strapped onto your body. There are many different variations of this type of carrier, but I will show you Boppy’s ComfyChic Baby Carrier and ComfyFit Hybrid Baby Carrier.
Boppy’s ComfyChic Baby Carrier, what it is
The Boppy ComfyChic Hybrid Baby Carrier is one of the best carriers that you can use. It has 4 carrying positions and has quick-adjust arm straps so when your other half wants to use it, it will easily and quickly adjust.
The ComfyChic has padded head support for your baby. This is not “real” leather, but a vegan-version of leather.
Boppy has created a carrier that is styled from both a “wrap” and “structured carrier” styles. Think of it as a blend of the two and so you have the Boppy ComfyChic Hybrid Baby Carrier.
In addition, it’s made of breathable fabric (your baby won’t sweat) and has a zippered waist pocket that you can open at either end. This comes in handy to carry your wallet or cell phone.

Next and importantly, this carrier has a “mesh” screen which can serve many purposes. The purposes are it provides shade for your little one and it serves as a nursing cover for when you breastfeed your baby while carrying her. So, as the video shows, there are 4 different ways you can use the carrier. Newborn front face-in, front face-in, front face-out, and side-hip carrying. The baby should be in the front facing-in position until 6 months of age.

Boppy ComfyFit Hybrid Baby Carrier
Next is the Boppy ComfyFit Hybrid Baby Carrier and it works in much the same way as the ComfyChic with a few differences.
With this carrier, you get 3 carrying positions: newborn front face-in (legs in frog position), baby front face-in (legs out), and front face-out.
This carrier is slightly less expensive and does not have adjustable shoulder straps, breathable head support panels, or the “elegant” accents. It does, however, carry a “healthy hip” acknowledgment by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute.

Weight limits for both carriers
The weight limit for both the ComfyChic and the ComfyFit baby carriers is 8 to 35 pounds. Please do not try to use the carrier for any child who weighs more than 35 pounds!

Amazon’s customer review ratings are 4.5 out of 5 stars. Most parents say and agree that they love, love, love this carrier! They are impressed with the quality of the carrier, the ease of use, it’s comfortable to wear and their babies love it too!
My conclusion
I sincerely think that if you were to purchase one of these carriers, your life would change. You will be able to carry your little one hands-free and do just about anything! Whether you are working around the house or going to a park, you will be “wearing” your baby and your baby will be loving it!
So, the baby carrier’s purpose? Its purpose is pretty clear by now and that is to give you hands-free carrying ability to do whatever it is you need to do. All the while, you have your baby tucked in close to you all snug as a bug in the rug! 🙂
